Infrared (IR) Listening Systems: Infrared works much like your television remote control. Infrared will
not work when you leave the area or if out of range. The 2.3 MHz listening system is our most affordable
system, offering a 600 sq ft listening area. If you would like to use your system at home as well as
entertainment venues, such as Popejoy in Albuquerque, NM, you may want to consider upgrading to a 95
KHz system . The 95KHz system allows you to take your headset and receive sound from the
entertainment venue’s speaker system directly into the headset via the infrared signal.
If you have a T-Coil in your hearing aid, you may use a neckloop rather than a traditional earpiece/headset.
Radio Frequency (RF) Listening Systems: Radio Frequency Systems have a 100’ range and will work
throughout your home. The two RF Systems we recommend are made by Sennheiser and William Sound.
The Sennheiser system offers balance control and the William Sound system comes with two batteries.
Both have auto on off and can be heard throughout your home.
Loop your Living Room: Looping your living room is a solution if you have a T-Coil.
A thin speaker wire would be placed the perimeter of your listening area and would connect to the
backside of your television. Activate the T-Coil and listen to your favorite program from anywhere
within/near the loop hands free and without a headset. A microphone may also be attached for easy
listening to conversations. Any area may be looped, churches, homes, vehicles, meeting spaces, etc.
